About
Climate and travel analyst. Based in Paris, rarely there.
You love to travel, but you're over the influencer itinerary — overcrowded, overfiltered, underresearched. You want someone who's actually studied the systems behind the places they write about.
I'm Greta — a climate and travel analyst based in Paris. I have an MSc in Climate Change from University College London, I've lived across six countries, and I speak five languages with a sixth in progress.
In November 2022, my partner and I packed everything we owned into a storage unit in South London and flew to Southeast Asia with no return ticket. We haven't really stopped since. Over 40 countries, more border crossings than we can count, one carry-on each. Not as tourists — as long-stay travellers who actually live in the places we visit.
I bring a climate science lens to the travel industry — analysing what's working, what's greenwashing, and what the science actually says.
My background is in climate modeling, GIS, and quantitative risk analysis — I've worked on Research England-funded projects analyzing pollution patterns across European cities, and my MSc research focused on maritime emissions and grid constraints in South Africa. I bring that same analytical rigor to the travel sector: examining what's working in sustainable tourism, what's just greenwashing, and what the data actually says.
I write about places the way they deserve to be written about: with texture, detail, and history. I'll recommend the small hotel run by the family who's been there for generations and the safari that actually supports the community around it — and I'll tell you why it matters, backed by the science.
I also work with organisations in the travel and tourism sector — destinations, tour operators, and hospitality brands working to make their operations genuinely sustainable. If you're a traveller, I help you travel with more intention. If you're an organisation, I bring the climate expertise and the consumer perspective.
That's what Consciously Chic is — climate science meets lived travel experience, for people and organisations who want substance over surface.
